Bucs Indoor Champs 2010
On the 21st November the EULCC indoor team headed off to the BUCS indoor regionals. They had high hopes, and the first match against Plymouth enouraged this. Exeter scored 167-1 and then bowled Plymouth out for 33!
The second match against Cardiff was the decider as to who would progress to the Finals after Christmas. Exeter started well with Hannah Clark (wk) shocking both the welsh openers with some sharp work behind the stumps off the bowling of Hannah Bugin and Jess Rippin (capt). Cardiff were finally bowled out for 94, Lottie Miles picking up a couple of wickets at the death.
Lottie and Hannah Clark opened the batting for Exeter but they couldn't find their rhythm of the previous game, and wickets began to fall regularly. A good last wicket partnership with Jess Rippin and Hannah Bugin got Exeter close but in the end they slumped to 64 all out, losing by just 30 runs.
