Throughout the year, our club partakes in many 5 primary competitions, 3 competitions for SWWU (the South West and Wales University league) and 2 for BUCS (British University and College Sport). However, the club is open to other competitions dependent on timing and location. These competitions are spread throughout the year, with the first being the Exeter leg of SWWU, held around 8 weeks after the start of term. This allows new archers to compete on a very level field, without having to worry about either travel or feeling you have to get your own equipment.
Due to the pace of archery, competitions are a fairly light hearted affair, with a lot of time for talking with fellow competitors. This relaxed atmosphere removes a large amount of pressure from all but the highest level archers, and most competitors will not realise just how quickly the day runs by.
First competition of the year is Exeter SWWU, which does not have a confirmed date, but usually within the first 6 weeks of term.
